About DAFES AWARDS
We established the international competition program DAFES AWARDS to encourage creative achievements, share experiences and form guidelines for professional development in design, art, fashion, education and business.
DAFES AWARDS is awarded in five profiles, 20 categories and 80 nominations, as well as various partner nominations that we form together with educational and creative institutions.
About the nomination
This nomination accepts interactive and generative design projects that based on programming as the primary implementation tool. Project evaluation includes the following criteria: originality of the idea, visual and interactive elements, and the quality of implementation. The presentation of the project also greatly influencing the assessment.
Terms of participation
Both concepts and projects that have been implemented or published between November 1, 2023, and October 12, 2025, are accepted for professional nominations.
While confirmation of publication or implementation is not required for a project to participate in the competition, the jury may request verification from the competition organizers in disputed cases.
Requirements to projects
It is recommended to present the idea of the project, the details of its implementation, layouts, screenshots and screencasts of the working project. It is up to the contestant to add more items to the presentation.
All projects are submitted to the competition in the format of a longread-format report created on the deziiign.com platform.
Jury
Zakhar Den is the head of the online and offline «Design and Programming» and «Design and Promotion of a Digital Product» profiles at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL.
Vadim Bulgakov is the head of the «Digital Product and Artificial Intelligence» direction and the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL.
Anton Artemchuk is a teacher of the Product Design and Industrial Prototyping courses at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, a designer, an artist, a researcher.
Ivan Yakushev is a lecturer at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL.
Vasily Shikhachevsky is a curator of the Motion Design specialization in the Animation, Illustration, Computer Graphics program at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, a motion designer, a digital artist.
